Hi, I’m Rich — a singer, teacher and all-round voice enthusiast.

Singing has taken me from my childhood home in Australia to the stages of Europe and the classrooms of New York and Cambridge. But no matter where I go, the goal’s always the same: to help people uncover the beauty in their own voice.

I believe in teaching the student first, and the subject second. That means my job isn’t to mould you into something you’re not – it’s to meet you where you are, cheer you on and help you grow into the singer you want to be. My online platform is built around that exact idea. It’s flexible, friendly and designed to make singing a part of your everyday life – no pressure, no perfectionism, just progress and joy.

I first sang as a soloist with the West Australian Opera when I was 11, in a world premiere (yes, I peaked early!). Since then, I’ve studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and earned my Master of Music in New York at Mannes College, where I worked with my own teaching mentor, Arthur Levy – someone who deeply shaped how I now teach others.

I’ve sung for royalty, toured internationally with opera companies like Diva Opera, and performed with brilliant ensembles including English National Opera, Britten Sinfonia and Opera North. But honestly? Some of my proudest moments happened offstage.

Like teaching music in orphanages in India and Fiji. Or building the music curriculum and choral programme at The Browning School in New York, where I won the Sabet Award for Excellence in Teaching and was made a Fellow of The Academy for Teachers. Or now, at Cambridge, where I teach at Jesus College and lead a booming singing and choir programme at St Faith’s School (we’ve more than doubled our numbers in just a year).

This platform is for anyone who wants to sing – whether you’re a beginner figuring out where to start, or already performing and looking to fine-tune your skills. Lessons you can follow in your own time, on your own terms.

You don’t have to sound like anyone else. You don’t even need to know what your voice can do yet. That’s what we’ll figure out together.
